EDM/PDM Print Server
Plot Station® is a robust, batch printing engine that easily automates direct printing from your existing EDM/PDM system.
You know how time consuming production printing can be if your EDM/PDM (Engineering Document Management/Product Data Management) system forces you to download and manually print each of your documents one at a time. With an integrated Plot Station® solution, a user can select multiple files (a handful or hundreds) from your existing EDM/PDM system and submit them directly to any network print device. Users can print just as easily to devices that are down the hall or around the world. The productivity benefits are enormous!
Open Systems Compatibility with Stability & Performance
- API and Integration Support API
- Multi-tasking for high performance
- Multi-threading for input/output and processing efficiency
- Modular architecture
- Optimized for multi-CPU Server platforms
Plot Station® is a server based print engine that supports a wide variety of file formats and virtually all of the major printing or plotting devices in production today. Use simple commands from your EDM/PDM system to drop files to Plot Station® directory oriented queues. Your files will print to designated devices automatically. You can even set up print destinations for full size prints, half sized prints, or prints that drive the advanced features of your wide format printing devices like folders and stackers.
Plot Station® Server provides a monitoring tool that allows you to see what's going on with all the Plot Stations on your network. You can shift jobs manually from one server to another or configure all the servers to work in concert with one another in order to maximize throughput with all available resources being used optimally.
Use Plot Station®'s API to automatically convert content stored in your existing information systems into PDF files and then upload the results back into your EDM/PDM for enterprise-wide access or distribution.
Plot Station® even includes advanced accounting features to track exactly who is printing what, and why. Accounting features reminded that they are using expensive company resources which reduces waste, and enables charge-backs to department budgets or cost recovery from clients.
